Freedom Isn't Free

Tim and Old Glory

This 4th of July we had a great time with friends and family at our "Front Yard Party".

Since we live close to a local stadium, we have a good veiw of the fireworks display, and we invited people over to enjoy them with us. It was a late night, but the display was beauitful and thought provoking, as it usually is for me.

I think to myself that we are so blessed to live in free country, but how easily we all can forget the heavy price that was paid, and is still being paid by brave men and women who believe in that Freedom.

Most of you know that my younger brother, Jeff, served in Iraq twice in the Marines. We have been blessed with his return to us here in the "Civilian Quarters", but that time he was over there was quite a wrenching experience. He was over there doing his job, which is to protect our Freedom. There are countless others who have not been so fortunate while they were doing their jobs.

I hope that we can all continue to remember and appreciate the Freedom we enjoy day to day, because even though it's not coming directly out of our accounts, that Freedom is still being bought at a very high price. God Bless America!!!
